Mandalay Restaurant Description:
A Burmese restaurant with savory (mild - spicy) entrees and delicious appetizers. Very comfortable and well decorated medium sized restaurant.
Mandalay is good news for those in the metro area who are starved for Burmese food. Fortunately, the menu carries descriptions of each dish, and the staff is more than willing to help you along. We enjoyed the fermented tea salad, and a very special dish, the five-noodle entrée that is served as a room temperature salad. With so many options, you may want to make this a frequent destination so that you can work your way through a parade of Burmese dishes. Desserts are limited to only two; we recommend the semolina cake made with coconut milk. It's intensely rich but worth every calorie.
