You can take your pick at Osaka East: dine on some respectable sushi or go with a group and occupy one of the eight-seat hibachi tables in the separate dining room. Either way, nobody leaves hungry. The hibachi chef is as much a showman as he is a culinarian, and his results speak for themselves. We suggest the scallops, cooked two minutes on each side; the salmon, tender and pink on the inside and just crispy enough on the outside; and the hibachi seafood combination dinner with lobster, shrimp and scallops. The place looks like any other suburban restaurant, but the product is surprisingly well executed. Best of all, if one of your party is not hungry, for $4.95 he or she can still occupy a seat and enjoy the show.
