Shogun Japanese Steakhouse Description:
A friendly, homey alternative to the chain Japanese steakhouses, this place includes a small sushi bar, tables up front and teppan tables in the rear where chefs cook beef, shrimp or chicken on the tabletop grills while diners watch. It's very much a family affair for the Yung family, who happen to be of Chinese descent but do a very successful job preparing Japanese fare. In addition to the sushi and sashimi offerings, they serve a number of udon and soba noodle dishes as well as donburi, teriyaki and tempura selections. This is a neighborhood restaurant in the best sense of the word.
