Donatello Description:
The clientele runs the gamut from locals who have frequented Donatello for years to vacationers and business people who hear about the place by word-of-mouth, and the restaurant's ambience is just as you would imagine, with small bouquets of roses on each table, gold leaf on the ceiling and subdued pink lighting. You can't go wrong with entrées like the oysters cooked in a fresh spinach sauce, the osso buco or any one of the hand-rolled pastas. Or consider the salmon al la strombolli---poached salmon with shrimp and asparagus in a creamy wine sauce. An extensive wine list complements the selections. Admittedly, it feels like a Friday night restaurant your parents might frequent, but what the menu and atmosphere lack in creativity is made up for with the consistency of the food and good service.
