Schnitzelhaus Description:
This is one of the few restaurants in the entire Tampa Bay area offering authentic German cuisine. In addition to the standard goulash soup, there is also kartoffelsuppe (creamy potato soup) and leberknodelsuppe (beef broth with homemade liver dumpling). Of course, there is German potato salad and potato pancakes (with apple sauce or sauerkraut). Entrées range from the three kinds of bratwurst (served on imported German wine sauerkraut) to bratwurst combo plates---a nice touch. In addition, there is breaded and golden brown, pan-fried pork or chicken wienerschnitzel. The variety of authentic German ales and dark beers makes for a leisurely dining experience.
