Three Clock Inn Description:
Located up a short, steep hill from the tiny village of South Londonderry, the Three Clock Inn is an elegant yet unpretentious restaurant owned since 1996 by chef Serge Roche, who grew up in a village near Marseille. His cuisine reflects both his heritage and his culinary training. Using local products, he creates entrées like rack of lamb and roast suckling pig that are simple in name yet distinctive in taste. Every item is served in traditional country French fashion, from freshly baked bread in terracotta clay pots to vegetables served in covered silver dishes. During the warmer months, Roche uses tomatoes and herbs grown in the gardens on the grounds of the inn. Tables occupy what were once the downstairs rooms of this former parsonage; the spaces are open and airy despite their smaller size. One dining room holds a collection of Provençal dolls, the other a glassed-in wine cellar with 130 bottles, a small selection of the inn's collection. As for the inn's three clocks, there aren't any. But the silver napkin rings bear the images of mock pocket watches.
