Silverado Description:
Silverado’s media hype has put it on the suburban-restaurant map, but the food doesn’t always live up to expectations. The crowds do, however, so plan your visit accordingly. The menu draws are the Southwestern and Tex-Mex dishes that have a few interesting twists. We recommend the Tex-Mex egg rolls with avocado dip and the Monterey chicken salad, a good choice for calorie counters. Less inspiring are the house special, the lobster bisque, and the overheated fajitas. Nightly specials---blackened prime rib or soft-shell crab tacos---may prove more satisfying. If you plan on chatting with friends or closing a business deal, the bad acoustics will nix that. Background music and laughter drown out any quiet conversation.
