Ted's Montana Grill Description:
Everybody must know who Ted is, but if not, this is Ted of Ted Turner, CNN and Jane Fonda, and now of a nationwide string of Western-style eateries that are high on bison. Well, that's really buffalo, of course, and if you haven't tasted buffalo yet, a buffalo burger makes the standard beef burger seem tame. Nineteen different burger options---with beef or buffalo---tempt the hungry, one of them being the Ultimate Skinny Dip, a hamburger without bun or anything else except a side of cottage cheese. We love the Spikebox with Monterey Jack cheese, jalapeños and bacon, and there's also the Green & Hot with guacamole, jalapeños and Monterey Jack cheese. You'll want a few appetizers, too, and we recommend the deep-fried onion slices wrapped in crispy batter and served with a horseradish dipping sauce. As for other fare, you'll find daily specials---barbecued bison short ribs and garlic mashed potatoes, for example---hefty salads and all-American entrées such as pot roast and beer can chicken. Desserts are minimal, and may not tempt you to spring for extra calories, unless you dream of a from-scratch milkshake.
