Coyote Grille Description:
Locally established quaint and cozy restaurant in Fairfax City. Menu is a fusion of Southwest and Mexican cuisine. Offers lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch. Outside seating as well. Great Margaritas and salsa!
Despite its kitschy name and cutesy décor, this Tex-Mex eatery makes a valiant effort to woo both singles and families. Its lengthy menu wraps up all the familiar Tex-Mex offerings, from burritos to chili con queso and tamales. But the kitchen has slipped in some offbeat fare, such as chicken linguine with roasted tomatoes and tequila-lime chicken, plus two very typical dishes: the turkey mole poblano and carnitas, which here emerges as shredded rather than cubed pork. Flour tortillas are fresh, the atmosphere lively, and if the flavors don't strike a bull's eye, at least many of the dishes sidestep the Tex-Mex clichés.
