Clyde's Description:
Long a favorite of Tysons' area residents---and a must for special meals like Mother's Day---this Clyde's features separate dining areas with their leaded-glass partitions and overhead lights that evoke an early twentieth-century nostalgia. Even the artwork reflects a yearning for simpler days: the Café room to the left of the entrance features Gibson Girls paintings, and in the adjacent bar, Tiffany-style lamps beckon patrons to cozy corners. As with all Clyde's restaurants, the food showcases solid American cooking based on seasonal---and often local---products. Artisanal cheeses are a mainstay of the menu. Our favorites include the crab cakes, the main-course salads (the steak salad is chockfull of strips of tender beef), the starter quesadillas and, of course, the bowls of chili. On any given day of the year, you can count on finding the best comfort foods---from calf's liver to pot roast---plus more offbeat fare. You might even find Chesapeake Bay rockfish as a special in season.
