Blue Point Restaurant and Bar Description:
We know we're in good hands when we see there are only two seafood alternatives listed on Blue Point's menu, a New York strip steak and a grilled pork tenderloin. They are both good selections, but they rarely see the light of day surrounded as they are by fish, fish and more fish. When you try the San Francisco-style Dungeness crab cioppino, a rich seafood stew redolent with cilantro, you'll swear you can feel the fog rolling in. Grilled Hawaiian yellowfin tuna gets a spicy accent with ginger and wasabi; pan-roasted monkfish with chorizo and garlic is bright and flavorful. Minnesota duck breast with diver scallops is served with caramelized fennel mashed potatoes---a comforting, if unusual, combo. If you're not in the mood for a full dinner, Blue Point's casual oyster bar makes for a fine evening on its own.
