Green Field Description:
Dae Kim's grandiose Brazilian churrascaria resides in the sleepy San Gabriel Valley hamlet of West Covina. The colorful 300-seat eatery is a branch of the Corona, Queens original. A trademark water wall dominates the cavernous white and green space, which is accented with dark wood. It may not be the warmest dining room, but you're here to devour grilled animals, not to luxuriate. Start at the buffet, featuring an array of hot and cold items like black bean soup, oxtail stew, fried plantains and hearts of palm. Pace yourself for the marathon meat fest. When you're ready, turn your wooden marker to green to signal a server to start. What follows is a parade of beef, pork, chicken and lamb, all offering nice outer chars and juicy interiors, carved onto your plate from swords that double as rotisserie spits.
