Harry's Pizza Napoletana Description:
Specialty New Haven style pizza, salads, and drinks are about the only foods you get at Harry's, and all they need to keep people coming back. Seating is somewhat limited, so call ahead for reservations. Lunch Thurs.-Sun., Dinner daily.
Is there a finer example of thin-crusted pizza in this area? No. Harry's is the undisputed king of pizza in these parts. Bubbled, blistered beauties, Harry's cracker-thin pizzas are the pie of choice probably because the restaurant only does pizza. (Yes, there is a nice green salad with a zippy balsamic-sun-dried tomato vinaigrette to keep you from gnawing the table until your pizza arrives.) When fresh basil and tomatoes are in season, Harry's produces a pizza margherita that is poetry. We return again and again for the simple pepperoni pizza, a salty thing that spoils you for any other pepperoni pie. Ah, but then there's the unorthodox but addictive merger of sausage and finely minced jalapeño, a deliciously spicy union. Harry's has a limited wine list, but there are always special bottles that make pie eating even more fun.
