The Melting Pot refers not only to the diners from all walks of life that converge here, but also to the restaurant's signature dish: fondue. The softly lit dining room illuminates the comfortable booths and banquettes and the water gently cascading over decorative glass paneling helps create a casually romantic feel. If the atmosphere isn't enough to set the stage for romance, sharing a pot of warm, decadent fondue certainly will. And share you must because the fondues are designed for two or more, so don't come alone. Although the restaurant does offer a limited number of individual New American entrée options, for the optimal Melting Pot experience, the fondue is a must. Of the three three-course fondue pre-fixes on offer, go for the Pacific Rim. Inspired by Asian flavors, this cheese fondue is served with bread, apples and assorted vegetables for dipping and is accompanied by salad, teriyaki-marinated sirloin, shrimp, pork tenderloin, duck, chicken and pot stickers. If you have room, don't leave without tasting the milk chocolate tiramisu fondue made with espresso, just in case you are debating on coffee. The wine list offers several affordable wines by the glass.
