I was in bella roma recently, creamed my pants. Not only did i have the most tender piece of veal but the catchy italian rendition of I'm a believer by the monkees just made my stay that much better. The bonus however was this fat nerd arguing with what I perceived as a member of management. She smelled like glue and gas station brand cigarettes, her toupee kept falling off and a customer walked over it at one point. It was gross. I had the Veal parm, it was awesome. I'm going to go watch sabrina the teenage witch now peace.

Winnipeg is too small to insult customers. Word travels fast! Too bad. Rest in peace Bella Roma. That end of the city needed a nice little restaurant for people who want to stray away from the downtown scene. Anyways, Bella Roma had a nice run but all good things must come to an end.

A distinct change doesn't always mean a reputable one. It is in my experience that honorable business leadership leads to a company's success. In the past Bella Roma was a glimmering reflection of this statement. Today, Bella Roma is only a hastily fading memory of what was once a great dining experience. If I was just passing through the area and had a terrible evening at this restaurant I would simply never look back. As a resident of the area for many years now, I cannot simply do that! Forget the overpriced filth they call food that looks no more edible than the trash in the dumpster behind the Chinese food restaurant next door. Forget the chef's inability to orchestrate a kitchen that produces food the same day you order it. I would even be able dismiss the fact that the police are called nightly and instead of keeping our streets safe they are called from duty in order to catch the "erratic food thieves" who are only complaining of quality of food/service to prevent repeat problems not to earn a free meal (although it should be given away!!!). What I cannot dismiss is the fact that the entire staff is fresh out of high school obviously due to the fact that the new owner is a shell of a man who needs blind followers with little to no life experience so that they never question his judgement. Due to the scenes I have witnessed while trying to grab a quick bite I have become repulsed from ever entering the establishment again! There is no way a man fresh to the block should ever be speaking to his customers and employees the way he does. The fact that I've witnessed 25-30 brief employees pass through there in a mere three months with the a similar reflection of their experience and have customers shoved out the door like he's doing us a favor for ever introducing himself is farcical. I hate to be the distributor of heartache Bella Roma but these days you can't choose your customers, you can only choose if you want to succeed. If the customer is always right then you are in for a long, rugged journey! So I say to you whom ever is in charge at Bella Roma, from your friendly Charleswood neighbor, I will indeed lend you my shovel but please show equal kindness and return it when you are finished burying YOUR CAREER!

My family has been going to Bella Roma quite often for the past 5 or so years. It had always been wonderful, with friendly service and reasonable prices.

As of recently, things are different and not in a good way. Our family favourites are no longer on the menu, including ravioli and spaghetti with meatballs. The pizza used to be great, and worth the price. But now it is overpriced, and tasteless. The food is now bland, the service slow and unfriendly, and the owner offered no discount when my sons pizza came out 30 minutes after every one elses meals.

I will NEVER return to Bella Roma again. I would not be surprised if the restaurant did not continue on for much longer either with the poor quality food and service it is now offering.

My family & I had always enjoyed the food & service at Bella Roma.

Recently we had gone & after waiting over an hour for our meal our food was tastless & bland,not to mention no more bread sticks.

After taking a bite out of our meal we let our waitress know we did not enjoy our meals.

She brought the manager over who is now the owner.He said "you dont have a valid excuse not to eat it.You dont have to eat it but you have to pay for it & dont come back!" This guy was completly crazy he called the cops like a little kid complaining & said to them "they didnt like the food & dont want to pay".what a cry baby.
while waiting for the cops to arrive he slapped down a newspaper & said "you might find yourselves in here",it was all about people going to restaurants & scamming them by eating all the food & complaining after they ate it all,putting hair in the food so they dont have to pay,etc.
Dude!We are 30 yrs old we didnt put hair in our food nor did we eat it all-we just didnt like your crap ass food & didnt want to wait another hour to eat something else.
so after all that we paid for our food & asked to take our left overs with us since we didnt want him to have the satisfaction.
He was all in our face saying "well if its crap food why do you want to take it home" we said "we are not taking it home just out of your establishment & right into the trash!"
He said "i know how you guys work,& you've never had someone stand up to their good quality food,your not getting away with it here."
Wow can you say great customer service.

I had always enjoyed the food but recently had an order delivered. The lasagne was terrible. The small bella roma salad had brown lettuce. Nothing fresh. Way over priced. But no matter what the price nothing is worth lousy food

Bella Roma used to have very good food for affordable prices and wonderful service. Now, with the new owner, the food is still edible but it is overpriced and not suitable for the area. I will no longer be a dedicated customer to this restaurant.

Being a regular customer the past few years, I have always enjoyed the wonderful meals and friendly
service from the staff. My favorite - being Lasagna - has now
been reduced to what one can call
" no-name " hamburger helper.
A disappointment indeed, considering this slop was hgher priced. No longer a frequent flyer! Changes should be positive!

I have been ordering food from bella roma for the past 3 years and have always loved the food, but recently they have raised the price on their food and the ingredients are no where near as good as they used to be. A medium pizza one topping is now $21 from 13.
