My Mother's Place Description:
This looks like an ordinary old storefront from the outside, but inside it is a light, sunny, high-ceilinged adobe structure with vigas and latillas and a lot of wrought iron and old-style furnishings. There are two small dining rooms for private parties as well as the main dining room. The lunch menu is mostly sandwiches, with some quiches, salads, and soups. The dinner menu is mostly steaks, with some chicken and seafood. The restaurant is open weekdays for lunch and Thursday through Saturday for dinner. Parking and the entrance are in the rear, on Sixth Street.
