Stella Vita Description:
The menu is eclectic: generally Continental, but with some New Mexico touches. Lunch dishes include a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches, with some heavier entrees such as Chicken Marsala and Salisbury Steak. Dinner items include Chicken Florentine, Fillet of Beef, Eggplant Parmesan, and Beef Bourguignon. Desserts include chocolate torte, creme brulee, and Italian cream cake. Some dishes include jalapeno sauce; some include green chile, such as the chicken soup (which also includes posole) and the Chicken Alfredo.
The atmosphere is "subdued", with a hardwood floor, area rugs, old-style lamps and chests of drawers, and a lot of black decor, but with enough soft lighting that you can see your food. The background music is soft jazz.
Dinner is served Friday and Saturday; reservations recommended for dinner.
This is also the home of Marbec Catering, and the restaurant is available for private events.

I never thought I would find truly fine dining in Alamogordo but here it is. Stella Vita is an exciting gourmet dining experience. The decor is beautifully simple and intimate. We ordered crab cakes to start, they were lovely with big chunks of meat as opposed to crumbly, bread-like fried mush most places try to pass off as crab cakes. The warm bread with balsamic and oil for dipping was far too good, we had decline getting seconds as we could have easily filled up on it.

I really love this place! My friends and I try to meet here a couple of times a month and we have never gotten anything but delicious food. My fav is the Stella Vita salad, but everything is delicious.

It was our first time here as we are new to Alamogordo, I thought the food was good, my husband would have preferred more as the portions are small for the price.

My family and I moved to Alamogordo a little over 3 years over and have been waiting for a nice restaurant here since!
My Mother's Place and Memories but my husband doesn't care for the old lady feel at Memories and I don't care all that much for the food at My Mother's Place.
When we first heard about StellaVita, we were a bit skeptical that such a lovely place could be located in this drab little town.
But. From the minute you step into this place, you feel as if you're in a big city. The hostess seats you promptly in the nicely sparse dining room.
The servers are well versed in the menu and the food is excellent! I have gone to StellaVita many times and I plan on continuing!

We were not very impressed with the restaurant ,Its was to dark and the food is really not international at all The Italian creme cake and the chocolate torte taste terrible where did they get their ingredients If this is what they call international , well we dont know. We are Italian and they need to go back to Italy to learn how to cook. We do not recommend this restaurant. The prices should be adjusted towards their food. cheaper
