Sy Thai Description:
We've never found anyone who asked for the top-of-the-line spice level at Sy Thai. Surely their tongue would be singed. We love hot and spicy, but can only tolerate the mild rating here (or an occasional foray into medium territory). An overabundance of fire might numb your taste buds to the particularly flavorful noodle and curry dishes. Begin with the satay or tod mun with cucumber sauce before slurping up tom yum soup. Pad see ew, thick with rice noodles, broccoli and egg, is a favorite, as is pad prik and red curried gang gai. All of the dishes can be ordered with chicken, beef or pork, as well as shrimp or scallops. Thai iced tea is a tasty and soothing accompaniment.
