Mega-breakfasts at this local spot are made from scratch and oh, so good. Located next door to a former train station, the Whistle Stop fills with families, joggers, couples with newspapers and young singles, especially on Sundays when they come for the homemade bread, omelets, blueberry pancakes, cinnamon roll french toast and crispy hash browns. But they rarely leave without at least sharing a piece of freshly baked pie or chocolate cake. At lunchtime, there's a basic hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes or a Whistle Stop club. The coffee---as one would hope---is free-flowing, hot and fresh.
