This spot is so tiny that the effervescent Wompen Phelps (Penn for short), who is from the Northeast region of Thailand, prepares everything herself and sometimes serves it, too, in a sunny room decorated with framed photographs of her family in the countryside of northeast Thailand. The menu is surprisingly extensive and includes dishes like pad thai, fried rice, curried shrimp, hot-and-sour soup and spicy eggplant with sweet basil. Penn's house-made coconut ice cream affords the perfect ending to a satisfying meal. Prices are very reasonable.
