Charlie's Steak House Description:
This local steakhouse offers only three entrées, but that's half the fun. You may wait in the bar or outside in the heat for up to an hour for a table because the place has been turning out some of the best red meat in the city for decades. Variety is not the draw here---the big attraction is your choice of an extra thick filet, a juicy T-bone, or "The Charlie," a 28-ounce T-bone. Couple those with good au gratin potatoes and mushrooms bordelaise and you have made some New Orleans memories. The staffers are among the friendliest in the city, too.
