Do not expect anything fancy here or any pampering. Domilise's is all about the food. A unique Domilise's creation is the pepper weiner po' boy, with its red-skinned hot dogs and meaty bath of chili crammed into a length of French bread. But nearly everything else on the menu of this Uptown, backstreet po' boy shop is familiar, beloved and absolutely classic. The made-to-order po' boy, always constructed with the local, thin-crusted French bread, are definitive, whether the stuffing is fried shrimp, fried oysters, hot roast beef with gravy or hot sausage. The beer and soft drinks (or cold drink, in the neighborhood vernacular) are always ice cold, too.
