Creole Creamery Description:
The Creole Creamery is not your grandfather's ice cream parlor. We doubt grandpa ever got to order such flavors as lavender honey or buttermilk lemon pie ice cream. And nobody's grandpa ever tasted apricot Grand Marnier sorbet or lime ginger ice. Still, tradition matters: Here you can also find such basic flavors as strawberry, chocolate or a Southern favorite, Key lime pie. Tomato basil ice cream, anyone? Well…maybe not. But you know they must be doing something right on a weekend night when the line to get in stretches halfway down the block. A "hall of fame" plaque immortalizes patrons who have conquered the Tchoupitoulas Challenge---finishing an eight-scoop ice cream sundae loaded with eight toppings.
