Calorie counters need not apply to Jose Garces' hot-spot Village Whiskey, located next door to Tinto. Duck fat fries with cheese sauce, butter-poached lobster roll and homemade cheese puffs are a few of the offerings. Then there's the Whiskey King ten-ounce burger, a behemoth beauty bathed in maple bourbon glaze and topped with bacon and blue cheese. A vast selection of more than 80 browns, from single malts to peaty imports, gives the restaurant its name. While you can order your whiskey neat, or with just a splash of water, whiskey-based cocktails are also offered, like the classic Old Fashioned. Just try to resist.
