Addi's Tandoor Description:
Though the restaurant's name includes "tandoor"---the clay oven of Northern India---the specialty at Addi Decosta's establishment is the cuisine of his native Goa. This western Indian enclave was under Portuguese rule for over four hundred years, and chef Gurbachan Singh is mindful to incorporate the European influence in the menu. Seafood is a specialty, the best dishes being coconut-mint shrimp and prawns in mango-garlic sauce. There is also a textbook version of lamb vindaloo; instead of merely being fiery, the meat holds an astonishing depth of flavor. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a good wine list, making this a destination for adventurous diners.
