On the Half Shell Description:
A bigger selection of bivalves (on their own half shells) would be welcome at this cozy, downtown oyster bar just off atmospheric Charles Court; as it is, we only have the Texas Gulf Coast as a source. But the owners appear to feel the formula is working for them. Appetizers such as the cheese plate, wild Alaskan salmon spread with a habanero kick, garlic chickpea hummus and edamame with kosher salt and lime do provide partnership to bar drinks and wines from a list that could also use a few more mollusk-friendly whites. The mezzanine with its cushy couches is a good place to hide out, though you can't escape the hip-hop DJ entertainment that takes over late on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
