Nona's Courtyard Cafe Description:
Some rooms in the Bella Maggiore Inn overlook this courtyard café where clinging vines adorn the high walls. A retractable cover allows light and air to circulate on temperate days, while the splashing fountain adds to the quaint feeling. Plenty of people get married or have romantic rendezvous here, but it's also a nice place to retreat from the bustle of downtown Ventura for a business meeting or quiet conversation. Breakfast skews to the American palate with a fried egg sandwich, two eggs any style or huevos rancheros. Lunch and dinner are more Italian in nature. At lunchtime, sandwiches include a roasted vegetable version, tri-tip on focaccia and a shredded pork wrap. For dinner, there are pastas like fettuccine Alfredo, seafood pomodoro and penne carbonara. And for those who like to participate in the process, the restaurant lets you build your own pizza and risotto by choosing from lists of vegetables, meats, seafood and cheese.
