Village Bistro Description:
The big buzz comes at lunchtime when local media types head here for the good food and somewhat frenzied ambience. Plan to wait for a table, unless you come way before mealtime or have reservations. The restaurant's American-Italian food is original and interesting. Unusual pasta dishes intrigue the young at heart, but lustier fare comes with the seafood creations: blackened sea bass with potato purée, seared tuna with sesame seeds and lobster ravioli are a few good choices. Plenty of people also love the bistro's lunch sandwiches, some of which come layered on fresh, hot, crusty yet tender French bread. Desserts are very good, especially the berry crème brûlée. Casual food and a good selection of beers, all at reasonable prices.
