An All American Grill restaurant that is best known for its soul-satisfying comfort food served with heartwarming hospitality.
The reoccurring theme throughout the restaurant is a tribute to NFL Hall of Famer and former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Lee Roy Selmon.
Specialties include Fried Green Tomatoes, Mama's Meatloaf, Selmon's Sweet Heat Fried Chicken and cheese and bacon grits. House favorites include smokin' ribs, pork and chicken (with a choice of four homemade sauces) and "two-handed" burgers and sandwiches.
Lee Roy Selmon, former Tampa Bay Buccaneer and a National Football League Hall of Famer, has brought his family recipes to the big time, with an emphasis on home-cooking-type dishes such as meatloaf and fried chicken. Extending a sports theme is the trophy room, a sports bar with giant-screen TVs and a radio broadcast booth for local radio personalities to conduct interviews. The menu occasionally offers a new entrée but consistently features names like Hall of Fame Burger. Try the Kickin' Beef Brisket quesadillas or one of the other starters under Salads & Pro-Bowls. The latter offers a fine Mama Selmon's Cajun gumbo, along with Mama's meatloaf and Selmon's Sweet Heat fried chicken (seasoned and grilled chicken breast on top of smashed potatoes, smothered in maple bacon crumbs, cream corn, cheddar, sour cream and sliced tomatoes). For dessert, we recommend the Georgia peach cobbler. Also located in Tampa.
